What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is the first stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) based product which is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE) and is used for skin remodelling and treating skin laxity. With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64mg/2ml) it is not only boosting and hydrating the skin, but also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue.

Profhilo delivers great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments.

How does Profhilo work?

As a stabilised product Profhilo lasts in the skin around 28 days. During this time the slow release of HA promotes the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin.

What does the procedure involve?

A single course of Profhilo involves two injectable treatments four weeks apart. Due to its high spreadability only 5 injection points are needed on each side of the face which makes treatment much more comfortable.

Profhilo diffuses within the tissue after injection and over the period of 4 weeks it stimulates the different types of collagen and elastin. It doesn’t need to be massaged and leaves no nodules.

How long does it last?

After just a single course of Profhilo which is 2 sittings of injectables, treatment will most often last up to six months, but results can differ for each individual. The results aren’t immediate as Profhilo is a 2 part treatment. In those 30 days after each session, your skin works hard, producing new collagen and elastin to give your skin a firmer, smoother, plumper complexion. Full results are seen only after the second session as your skin produces more and more collagen and elastin. However, changes can be noticed after the first session.
