Frown lines
Causes, Symptoms and Treatment
Frown lines are the result of gathering or knitting the tissue between the eyebrows into a fold. They are caused by the repeated action of underlying muscles associated with facial expression. Years of squinting and frowning tend to leave deep wrinkles in the skin between the eyebrows and on the bridge of the nose.

Frown lines produce an angry or sad look that can detract from a pleasant facial appearance.

Treatment includes wrinkle relaxing injections commercially known as Botox®, Dysport and Xeomin. These injections are directly injected into the underlying muscle causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the overlying skin.
