Smoker Lines
Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

There are several different types of wrinkles that can form around your mouth. Smoker lines, also known as lip lines or lipstick lines are tiny vertical wrinkles that form above and/or below the lips in the distribution of the orbicularis oris muscle, a step like muscle around the mouth. They can be static (present at rest) or active (present on contraction).

Smoker's lines can be caused by smoking, ageing, damage from the sun's UV rays, genetics and diet.

Treatment includes a combination of both Botox® to relax the muscle and filler which works well to add volume that is lost. Filler works well for fine lines that need some hydration.
